ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Bradley University has been picked as the preseason favorite to win the Missouri Valley Conference men’s 2024-25 basketball title.
Bradley garnered 46 first-place votes and 597 total points beating out University of Northern Iowa (UNI), which received two first-place votes and 527 points.
Murray State received the final first-place vote and 473 points to finish third in the MVC preseason poll.
Illinois State, defending Arch Madness champion Drake, and Belmont were closely ranked in the next three positions in the MVC’s poll.
The Bradley Braves finished third in MVC regular-season play last year, and were last picked to win the Missouri Valley Conference in the 1999-2000 season. Bradley has been picked four other times (in 1986,1988, 1996, and 2000) to win the MVC.
Bradley’s Duke Deen has been tapped as the MVC’s Preseason Player of the Year.

The Braves’ first exhibition game is at Carver Arena on Oct. 30 vs Milliken. Bradley’s first regular-season game will be on Nov. 4 at Carver Arena vs SEMO.
