PEORIA, Ill. — Employees of Caterpillar were notified Thursday some white collar positions will be outsourced.
The company said it’s entering into a partnership with Dublin, Ireland-based Accenture for select accounting and finance activities.
Accenture employs approximately 48,000 people in the United States at ten locations. The closest Accenture hub to Peoria is Chicago.
Caterpillar said the transition will take place over the next twelve months.
Accenture declined comment.
