FULTON COUNTY Ill. – The man who allegedly lead police on a multi-county car chase last week — will remain in jail until his trial.
According to 25News — Tuesday morning, a Fulton County judge ordered 20-year-old Elijah Sacks, of Iowa, to remain in custody until appearing in court.
Last Thursday, Sacks allegedly assaulted a high school student in Pleasant Hill, Iowa and stole their car.
Sacks then drove to an area in Fulton County — where he stole another vehicle.
After a high-speed chase through Peoria and Woodford County — he reportedly jumped into a lake near Goodfield.
Sack stayed in the lake for about 20 minutes before police said they talked him out of the water, and he was taken into custody.
He has been charged with numerous vehicular carjacking charges in Fulton County — but has not yet been charged in Peoria or Woodford County.
