Caterpillar and OSF Healthcare announced a new multi-year agreement on Friday that goes into effect October 1, a day after the current agreement expires.
A joint statement said OSF will provide Caterpillar’s Peoria-area employees and retirees with continued and uninterrupted coverage.
Without the new agreement, CAT’s hourly employees with insurance through UnitedHealthcare would have lost in-network coverage at OSF.
Caterpillar also offers a health plan through BlueCross BlueShield which would have kept OSF in network for its employees.
