Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics were called to the 2300 block of W. Malone around 3 p.m. Friday.
Battalion Chief Ralph Phillips said the second story of the home was heavily engulfed in flames when they arrived. There was fire in the attic as well.
The American Red Cross was called in to assist the residents with temporary housing.
One resident was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
