PEORIA Ill. – The man who allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend in Peoria, in August of this year, was indicted Tuesday by a Peoria County Grand Jury.
43-year-old Stevie Linwood appeared in court Tuesday his role in the fatal shooting that left 35-year-old Zaneta Winters dead.
Lindwood allegedly shot Winters in the back of the head — shortly after, she pronounced brain-dead — before eventually succumbing to her injuries.
Prosecutors say it happened in the area of El Vista and Leroy Avenues.
Lindwood will be back in court on December 4th at 9am — for his arraignment.
