WASHINGTON, Ill. – Portions of Washington are under a boil order at a water main break Saturday morning.
Illinois American Water says the break occurred at around 8:00 A.M.
A map shows the affected area is on Business Route 24 between Cummings and Wilmor Road, and between Kingsbury and Kern Road.
Illinois American Water says those affected may experience service interruptions or low water pressure.
Repairs are scheduled to take place Monday morning.
The utility says affected customers received notifications, and those affected should bring any water used for drinking to a rolling boil for 5 minutes.
