PEORIA, Ill. – The Betty Jayne Brimmer Center for the Performing Arts is set to host a variety of programs.
Three motivational speakers will be addressing “Profiting from Positivity in the Workplace”, Tuesday Nov. 12.
Jenny Parkhurst, Executive Director of Performing Arts, said this is the first of the Brimmer Lecture Series.
“It’s a full day event,” Parkhurst said. “It’s a mastermind of uncovering how positivity and clear communication can drive profitability in the workplace.”
The event will be presented in a Ted-Talk style from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The speakers will be Kim Kaufman, recognized as one of the top 10 motivational speakers in the world, Yvonne Greer, local television personality, and also Bill Barr, local business coach.
“They are offering expertise and training on how to improve communication and positvity in the workplace,” Parkhurst said.
Tickets will be $75, and a 10 percent discount will be available for groups of five or more.
The event will have a light breakfast and a lunch will be served.
“We invite our attendees to stay afterwards and hang out at the bar at the Betty Jayne Brimmer and do a little bit of networking and socializing after the event,” Parkhurst said.
