GasBuddy reports an average of $3.14/g for unleaded on Monday, down 2.1 cents in the past week. The average is 2.3 cents higher than a month ago, and 7.0 cents higher than a year ago.
The cheapest price in Peoria reported by GasBuddy on Sunday was $2.95/g, with the highest at $3.29/g.
AAA is reporting a $3.16/g average on Monday for the Peoria-Pekin metro area. Their average is 1.3 cents cheaper than a week ago, 1.4 cents cheaper than a month ago, but 6.1 cents higher than a year ago.
The average price of gas in Illinois is trending differently, with GasBuddy reporting a 4.4 cent increase in the past week to an average of $3.19/g. AAA is reporting an Illinois average of $3.25/g, up 4.0 cents in the past week.
