PEORIA, Ill. – One person was treated after a Tuesday morning house fire in Peoria.
Peoria Fire says crews were called to the house in the area Rustic Ridge and Overbrook Drives just after 8:30 A.M., arriving to find a working fire with smoke showing from the roof.
Additional crews turned off the house’s gas and electricity to perform salvage operations.
The lone person in the house was found in the garage and fire crews assisted him outside and into the care of Advanced Medial Transport, who was evaluated and released.
There were no injuries to firefighters.
An investigation into the fire is underway, but the fire was ruled unintentional. Damage is estimated at $145,000.
