PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office is investigating shots fired near a restaurant just after the new year started.
Sheriff Chris Watkins says suspects in a red van traveling east on Farmington Road fired several shots towards the parking lot of Country Club BBQ just after midnight Wednesday morning.
He says the van fled east on Farmington Road.
A vehicle in the parking lot was found struck by bullets, and shell casings were found in the roadway.
Watkins says no one was in the vehicle when it was hit by gunfire.
No injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made.
