PEORIA, Ill. – A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly being in possession of a stolen handgun.
Peoria Police says officers conducted a pedestrian stop in the area of Griswold and Humboldt just after 3:45 P.M.
A search was conducted on 19-year-old Kaejohn McCracken-Richardson, and reportedly found a stolen handgun on him.
He was arrested on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun Under 21, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID card.
McCracken-Richardson was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
