PEORIA Ill. – One adult and one juvenile were arrested Wednesday, in Peoria, for the unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a stolen vehicle.
At around 4:30pm, P-P-D’s Special Invesigations Division observed a group of individuals in the 1800 block of South Griswold, one of them matching the description of a wanted male.
As police were arresting the wanted male identified as 20-year-old Twayne Ross — a juvenile male in the group immediately fled on foot.
After a brief foot chase officers apprehended the 15-year-old, in the 1800 block of South Arago without further incident.
During a search of the juvenile’s flight path officers located and seized a loaded handgun and magazine.
The 15-year-old is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center on multiple weapons charges — while Ross, at the Peoria County Jail, on multiple counts of motor theft.
