EUREKA, Ill. –A gag order has been ordered against the mother of a 9-year-old boy charged with murder.
The juvenile was charged earlier this week with five counts of first-degree murder and arson for an April mobile home fire near Goodfield that claimed the lives of five family members.
Katrina Alwood appeared in Woodford County Court Friday afternoon. The gag order against her was requested just days after she spoke with CBS News about her son.
The 9-year-old boy was accused of intentionally starting the deadly fire. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 21.
