PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics were called to the 8300 block of N. Galena Road around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday for an accident with possible entrapment.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Air bags were deployed.
One driver was trapped inside their vehicle. Crews were able to rescue the driver with the help of hydraulic tools within 10 minutes.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for their injuries.
Traffic on N. Galena Road was shut down in both directions for a time for clean up and investigation.
