Collins: Be weather aware, as the threat of severe storms continues throughout Wednesday

PEORIA, Ill. – Thunderstorms will come and go most of the day Wednesday, according to 25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins.

“Severe weather threats include: a couple of tornadoes, damaging winds of 70 miles per hour, large hail and heavy rain. Non-thunderstorm winds will gust to 50 miles per hour through Wednesday evening,” Collins says.

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Wind Advisory for the Tri-County area from noon through 7 p.m.
