PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man wanted for a month in connection to an incident that caused minor injuries to two police officers has been found.
Peoria Police say Wilbert Tuson, 23, was arrested late Tuesday morning in Kewanee by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, not far from an area where several bars are located.
Tuson was located in a car parked on War Memorial Drive May 17th. But, when officers approached, the car sped off, causing damage to two police squad cars along with some minor injuries.
The car was later found abandoned with drugs and paraphernalia allegedly found inside.
Tuson was wanted on two warrants, and faces 20 different charges, including Aggravated Battery to Police and Possession of Cannabis, along with a slew of traffic offenses.
Tuson is jailed without bond, and faces warrants and charges including:
Two Peoria County Warrants, charging Aggravated Battery to Police (2 counts), and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.
