EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Illinois Central College has announced a new partnership with Millikin University in Decatur.
The agreement announced Tuesday allows ICC graduates to be automatically accepted to Millkin, and be able to get their bachelor’s after two years with full-time enrollment.
The agreement is effective for the 2025-26 school year.
To qualify, ICC students will need to complete their Associate’s degree in Arts, Science, Fine Arts, Engineering Science, or Applied Science, with a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
The college also announced that students who have met the requirements for the ICC Honors Program will be automatically accepted into the James Millikin Honors Scholar Program.
ICC President Doctor Shelia Quirk Bailey says the partnership “creates valuable opportunities” to continue their academic journey.
The college says ICC students can also take advantage of the Millikin Tuition Promise and the Big Blue Pledge, which started in the fall of 2024. The program offers a reduced tuition rate of $26,000 for all full-time traditional undergraduate students. The Big Blue Pledge offers help for those who don’t have the financial means to fund a private college education, and covers 100% of their tuition with grants and scholarships.
