PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria firefighters were called to the area of S. Blaine and W. Garden Streets on reports of a camper fire Sunday afternoon.
Fire Battalion Chief Rick Waldron says crews arrived around 1:20 p.m. Sunday, finding a camper fully engulfed in flames. They were able to keep the fire from spreading into two homes nearby, but there was some damage to the homes’ exteriors.
No one was inside either home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Total damage to the camper and the exteriors of the two homes is estimated at $2,500.
