PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria firefighters were called early Tuesday morning to a vehicle fire that had spread to two nearby homes in the area of W. Gilbert and Loucks.
Fire Battalion Chief Larry Carter says when they arrived around 6:50 a.m., crews found heavy fire involving several cars and motorcycles, extending to both homes.
After a search confirmed all residents got out of the homes safely, firefighters worked to get the vehicle fires under control before shifting their efforts to the homes.
An investigator determined the fire was unintentional. No injuries were reported.
Damage was estimated at $100,000.
