OTTAWA, Ill. – An East Peoria dentist has died in a skydiving accident in LaSalle County.
Coroner Richard Ploch identified 48-year-old Dr. Noel Liu, after an accident Monday evening at Skydive Chicago in Ottawa.
A forensic autopsy was done on Tuesday. Preliminary results and toxicology tests are still pending.
Ploch says the NTSB and FAA are assisting the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office in an investigation.
Liu was the co-founder and CEO of Secure Dental, which has a number of locations around the country, including East Peoria.
