PEORIA, Ill. – A fire on Friday morning in Peoria’s East Bluff is being investigated as arson.
Peoria Fire says crews responded just after 7:45 A.M. to the area of Thrush and Indiana, finding fire in the basement and first floor of the two-story home.
The fire was under control within 20 minutes, but crews remained for two hours checking for hotspots.
Peoria Fire says the home was occupied at the time of the fire, but no one was present at the time of the fire.
The house sustained fire damage in the basement and first floor, and smoke damage throughout the house.
An investigator and Peoria Fire’s Arson Dog determined the case was arson.
There were no injuries, and the Red Cross is providing housing to two adults and two children.
