PEORIA, Ill. — Firefighters were called about 8:30 p.m. Thursday to the 6800 block of N. Frostwood Parkway for a possible structure fire.
Heavy smoke was seen coming from the back of a single story, 3 unit office building.
Crews stretched multiple attack lines to the basement area of one unit and encountered heavy fire in the ceiling. The fire spread to the first floor.
Fire Battalion Chief Shawn Sollberger said the fire was under control in about 15 minutes. A search was performed in the basement and the first floor of all three units and confirmed no one was inside.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. No firefighter injuries were reported.
