PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria police are announcing details on recent arrests linked to the discovery of at least one ghost gun, along with several other illegal firearms.
PPD says officers with the Special Investigations Division were staking out a neighborhood off South Idaho and Montana Streets on the south side around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Three known subjects with outstanding warrants were holding some kind of meeting.
Police pounced and one of the suspects was then spotted tossing a gun, raising suspicion. A search found two more firearms along with a ghost handgun with an extended magazine.
All three subjects were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested.
They are identified as 20-year-olds Javion L. Parker and Marquavion L. Moore as well as 22-year-old Kaleel D. Davis.
Parker was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and No FOID. He was also arrested for Armed Robbery (22-12055) and two outstanding warrants.
Moore was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Davis was arrested for a previous Residential Burglary case he was wanted in connection with.
All three men were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
