PEKIN, Ill. – Tazewell County prosecutors claim the parents of a baby born earlier this year are a Washington woman and the minor she allegedly had sex with.
25 News reports DNA testing presented in a probable cause affidavit on Tuesday allegedly shows 43-year-old Robyn Polston and the victim are the baby’s parents.
Polston was arrested Monday on charges of Criminal Sexual Assault and Child Pornography.
Investigators allege a search of cellphone accounts led to the discovery of a large number of sexually explicit images and videos of the pair. Prosecutors allege both used burner phones under fake names to protect their identities.
Polston was ordered to remain in jail, with the judge agreeing with prosecutors that she was not likely to comply with conditions if released. Prosecutors argued that Polston’s mother and sister enabled her activity, and could not be trusted to keep her and the minor apart.
