PEORIA, Ill. — A 20-year-old man was sent to Peoria County Jail after being charged Tuesday with murder of his six-month-old.
Kyle Purser was arrested a little over two months after the baby girl was found unresponsive Sunday, September 8 in a home on S. Matthew.
She was taken to a hospital after emergency crews were unable to revive her.
The infant was pronounced dead later that day.
Peoria Police said they turned up “suspicious information” during the course of the investigation, which led to Purser’s arrest.
The PPD said Purser was taken into custody without incident.
