PEORIA, Ill. — The Salvation Army kicked off its Tree of Lights campaign Wednesday night at Northwoods Mall in Peoria.
The Corps’ Rich Draeger said this year’s goal for the campaign is $1,650,000.
Draeger announced at the kickoff event that a record amount of this year’s goal has already been raised…$502,409.
The Salvation Army’s red kettles are scheduled to start appearing at stores around the Tri-County area on Friday.
