PEORIA, Ill. – The suspect who allegedly robbed a Peoria Walgreens last week is still on the run, but has been identified.
In an update on Monday, the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office says 52-year-old Michael Dawson was identified by detectives as the suspect in the December 2nd incident.
Detectives say Dawson allegedly attempted to use the Western Union kiosk but was declined, then demanded money from a register.
The employee reportedly gave an undetermined amount of money to Dawson before he drove away from the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
