Dec 10 (Reuters) – JPMorgan Chase will give a special award of up to $1,000 to employees earning less than $80,000 a year globally, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Wednesday.
Employees must have at least one year of service as of December 31, 2025 to be eligible for the award, which will be paid in early 2026, CEO Jamie Dimon said in the memo.
The payment will be a 401(k) savings plan contribution for U.S. employees. Staff outside the U.S. will receive the award in cash.
The announcement comes a day after JPMorgan’s consumer and community banking chief, Marianne Lake, said the bank’s expenses will climb to about $105 billion in 2026.
Barron’s reported the company’s plan earlier on Wednesday.
