WASHINGTON, Ill. — Six years have passed since a series of tornadoes tore through central Illinois.
Washington was the hardest hit. The twister ripped through the town on Sunday morning Nov. 17, 2013, destroying and damaging around 1,200 homes.
Three people were killed and over 100 were injured.
Winds gusted up to 190 mph, making the tornado an EF-4.
Homes in East Peoria and Pekin were also damages and destroyed that day.
