PEORIA, Ill. – A man has been ordered to remain in jail following his alleged role in a home invasion at his ex-girlfriend’s place in Bellevue this past summer.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says 35-year-old Adonnis Dent was arrested Tuesday in Livingston County on a warrant.
Dent was indicted with a warrant issued a day after the July 7th incident on the 300-block of Apple Blossom Boulevard.
Prosecutors say Dent allegedly awoke the victim by attacking her just before 4:00 A.M., striking her multiple times. He allegedly took a firearm from her nightstand, dragged her out of the bedroom, urinated in a cup, and poured it on her before fleeing.
The victim’s child was present in the home as the incident occurred.
Prosecutors say the entire incident was captured via video surveillance in the home.
