PEORIA, Ill. – A ten year old boy was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly bringing a firearm to Charter Oak Primary School.
Peoria Police says officers arrived at 10:30 A.M. and met with the boy who was allegedly armed with a handgun, and was detained by school staff.
Police say the gun was secured and there were no injuries.
The boy was taken in for questioning, then arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
