PEORIA, Ill. – A pedestrian was hit by a car early Thursday morning in Peoria.
Peoria Police say the 36-year-old man was walking northbound on Sheridan Road, near Columbia Terrace, when he was hit just after 6 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene before officers arrived.
The victim was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
No description of the vehicle was released. The incident remains under investigation.
