PEORIA, Ill. — Three people were shot and one of them was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday night at a home in the 4000 block of W. Virden Ct. Further information gathered by Peoria Police indicated a party was happening at the home.
Upon arrival, around 10:30 p.m., officers located an adult female victim with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene and later identified as 29-year-old Breanna Kelly.
This is the 22nd homicide of the year in Peoria, equaling the total of 22 from 2018.
The other victims, both males, sustained non-life threatening injuries. One of the males was found inside the home, while the other was seen fleeing the scene on Big Hollow Rd. at a high speed upon officer’s arrival.
An arrest has not yet been made in the incident.
