PEORIA, Ill. – An arrest has been made in connection to a hit and run in Peoria last week.
Peoria Police says 39-year-old Nicholas Smith was arrested early Saturday morning at a residence, where the alleged vehicle involved in the crash was also found at the residence.
Smith was arrested for Failure to Render Aid in an Accident, Accident Involving Injury or Death, and Failure to Reduce Speed.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning in the area of Sheridan and West Elizabeth, when a 36-year-old male was reportedly struck by a vehicle while walking.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
