PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were called just after 7 p.m. Sunday to the Shell Gas station in the 1900 block of N. Knoxville.
A ShotSpotter alert indicated 8 rounds were fired during a fight at the gas station.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said a woman was shot in the arm while she sat inside her vehicle at one of the gas pumps.
“It did not appear that the woman was the intended target,” Dotson said.
The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
