Metro Centre business shut down after truck crashes into building

PEORIA, Ill. – A business in Peoria’s Metro Centre is shut down for the day after a truck crashed into its building on Wednesday.

Peoria Fire says crews were dispatched to the Penn Station Subs just after 1:30 P.M., finding a full-sized truck crashed into the west side of the building.

Three employees and one customer were in the building at the time of the crash, but no one was injured.

The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
