PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria crews responded to an early morning fire at a vacant home on Sunday which appears to have been intentionally set.
Fire Battalion Chief Mike Ralston said just before 1:30 a.m., they arrived at the home in the 2100 block of W. Ann Street, finding heavy fire with flames visible from the street.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive attack to bring the fire under control, protecting other properties nearby. A primary search of the home confirmed that no one was inside.
No injuries were reported at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
