EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Illinois Central College has found its new leader.
The Board of Trustees has picked Doctor Jamonica Rolle as the college’s next president, starting on July 1st.
Rolle comes to East Peoria from Broward College in Florida, where she currently serves as College Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and College Operations.
In a statement from ICC, Rolle was picked because of an ability to deliver outcomes in student achievement, strengthen workforce-aligned programming, and build partnerships to support employers and communities.
Board of Trustees Chair Cindy Byrd says the college is looking forward to partnering with Rolle and advancing ICC’s vision and mission.
“Dr. Rolle is a highly accomplished leader with 20 years of progressive experience across all aspects of a community college. Her strengths and qualifications clearly align with ICC’s mission and current priorities as evident in her strong commitment to student success, workforce development, and community impact. Her proven ability as a collaborative, innovative leader will also guide the College into its next era of excellence and community service,” Byrd said.
A national search for a new president was conducted after Doctor Sheila Quirk-Bailey retired from the position on December 31st last year.
