PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man accused in the stabbing death of a man near Bradley University has been indicted by a grand jury.
21-year-old Tavion Evans was indicted on one count of First Degree Murder on Tuesday. Evans is due back in court on April 9th for an arraignment hearing.
The incident occurred the evening of March 5th and led to the death of 35-year-old Zachary White. Court documents allege Evans stabbed White in the chest, and led to White’s death.
An autopsy revealed White suffered internal injuries that were inconsistent with life.
