PEORIA, Ill. — The holiday season was rung in on Wednesday morning by the 2019 edition of the ELITE Youth Outreach Holiday Choir.
The group performed for a crowd at the Bonnie Noble Center as ELITE Program Director Carl Cannon emceed.
Cannon said the singers would be embarking on a 28-stop tour throughout December.
Students from Limestone, Manual, Peoria, Quest, and Richwoods High Schools and the Lincoln and Sterling Schools comprise the 26-member choir.
A nine-member dance team from Peoria High School and instrumental accompanists the choir, which is directed by Shalesse Pie.
