PEORIA, Ill. — Country is king at the Peoria Civic Center.
At the monthly meeting of the Peoria Civic Center Authority meeting Thursday, General Manager Rik Edgar reported country music concerts were the top grossing shows of 2019.
“The top three shows were Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, and the Zac Brown Band” said Edgar.
Edgar says presale numbers for Reba McEntire’s May 8th show are very strong. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am Friday.
To mark the occasion, the civic center will rename the street in front of the facility “Reba McEntire Way.”
In other P.C.C.A. action, current Vice Chairman Matthew Bartolo was named chairman in place of outgoing chair Paul DiGiallonardo.
