CREVE COEUR, Ill. (25 News) – The investigation into a fatal shooting at a Creve Coeur home last month is active and ongoing, according to Illinois State Police. However, they released few other details in a statement to 25 News on Monday.
Investigators have not said whether a crime was committed at the home in the 500 block of Roosevelt Road, where Creve Coeur Police responded to a 911 call about 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10.
Officers said they found 29-year-old Adolfo Cazares inside the house, suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Cazares was pronounced dead at the scene.
The release said the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation is handling the investigation at the request of Creve Coeur Police.
“The investigation is active and ongoing,” State Police said in the statement. “No additional information will be released at this time.
