TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. – An investigation into the discovery of a human skull on Sunday in East Peoria continues. But the Tazewell County Coroner says the remains are not those of a woman missing for nearly nine years.
Coroner Charles Hanley says the remains are not those of Alexis Camry Scott. He says dental records provided by Peoria Police did not match.
Scott was last seen alive leaving a house party in the early morning hours of September 23rd, 2017.
The skull was discovered Sunday along Cole Street near Brady Park in East Peoria.
