PEORIA, Ill. – An Indiana man will remain in the Peoria County Jail after his arrest on charges of alleged sexual contact with a minor.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says 20-year-old Yester Orellana-Rivera was arrested on a warrant Tuesday, after a grand jury indicted him for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.
Prosecutors say the 12-year-old female victim met Orellana-Rivera on Instagram last year and told him she was a minor.
Orellana-Rivera allegedly traveled from Indiana to meet the girl, and engaged in unlawful sexual contact with her. Prosecutors say a DNA sample taken from the victim at a hospital allegedly matched Orellana-Rivera.
A search warrant of his Instagram account allegedly revealed messages between him and the victim, which included ages, plans to meet, and discussions of sexual conduct.
