PEORIA, Ill. – A 23-year-old man has died after reportedly being shot at a South Peoria gas station Wednesday night.
Peoria Police says officers responded to the Phillips 66 on Western just before 11:00 P.M. after reports of a single shot was fired.
The 23-year-old was found at the gas station with a gunshot wound to the chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old male was found by police outside the nearby AutoZone with a gunshot wound to the leg, and taken to a local hospital.
The shooting remains under investigation. It’s the second homicide in Peoria this year.

PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are investigating a fatal shooting late Wednesday night at a South Peoria gas station.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood confirms that a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at approximately 11:45 p.m. at the Phillips 66 gas station on S. Western Avenue.
The coroner did not provide any other details about the shooting death.
Peoria Police Spokesperson Semone Roth says more information would be released later in the day.
