NWS confirms additional tornadoes from Friday night’s storms in Central IL

LINCOLN, Ill. – The National Weather Service in Lincoln continues to assess damage and tornadoes from severe storms on Friday, April 17.

The NWS already confirmed EF-1 tornadoes in Marquette Heights and Mackinaw, and an EF-0 in Morton. 

The Lincoln office has additionally verified EF-1 tornadoes in Tremont, Pekin, South Pekin, Forest City/Manito, and Bath/San Jose.

EF-1 tornadoes that hit the Bloomington-Normal area Friday also caused significant damage, some of the worst in the area.
