PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) – US officials investigating the deadly attack by a Saudi aviation student at the Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida are trying to determine whether it was motivated by terrorism.
An aviation student from Saudi Arabia opened fire in a classroom at the Naval Air Station Pensacola on Friday morning, killing three people and injuring eight others, including two deputies.
The assault ended when a sheriff’s deputy killed the attacker.
A national security expert has warned against jumping to conclusions. He says just because the shooter was a Saudi national doesn’t mean it was a terrorist attack.
