PEORIA, Ill. — County-Bluegrass singer and musician Alison Krauss will make a stop in Peoria next spring.
The Peoria Civic Center announced Monday morning that Krauss will perform there on on Sunday, April 26, 2020.
Krauss, who was born in Champaign, Illinois, began playing fiddle at the age of five. At 14, Rounder Records signed her to her first record deal and she went on to release her solo debut album two years later.
Krauss became a member of the Grand Ole Opry at the age of 21.
Since 1985, Krauss has released 14 albums including five solo, seven with her longtime band and musical collaborators Union Station, and the Robert Plant collaboration “Raising Sand,” which was certified platinum and won five Grammys. She’s sold more than 12 million records to date.
Tickets for the Peoria show will be available this Friday, December 13 at 10 a.m.
