PEORIA, Ill. – A man is facing multiple charges following an armed incident in Peoria.
Police say officers responded Saturday night to North Bourland and West Armstrong Avenues on reports that two-armed men were assaulting a woman and threatening her with a handgun.
Officers located one suspect, identified as 41-year-old Justin Pizarro, in the 1300 block of North Bourland.
Police say Pizarro fled before being tackled and taken into custody.
He was treated at a hospital before being arrested on multiple charges, including aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated battery to a police officer.
